Adoption Angels

Adoption Angels help cover a portion of the adoption fee for the rescued, homeless animals in our care, lowering the fee and, in turn, hopefully increasing their chance to be adopted.  We currently have several long tenured residents at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA), waiting to be your new four-legged friend!  Check out our Adoption Angel sponsored animals below.

4Mama Cat is nearly 2 years old.  A Domestic Shorthair mix, Mama is our longest tenured feline.  She is a gorgeous grey and black Tabby with an exceptional personality to boot.  Mama loves to prance and play around with her favorite toy, the coil ball.  She also enjoys a good snuggle, but her favorite hobby is to watch the dishes being washed!  We think Mama Cat would do best with an experienced cat owner who can make her the center of attention.  This quirky kitty has won the hearts of many volunteer and staff.
2Sophie is an 8-year-old black and tan Beagle/Hound mix.  Sophie is a very shy girl and would hide under her bed when she first came to HSNEGA.  After working with our volunteers, she has really blossomed.  Now she runs to the door ready to go outside and play.  Sophie is not comfortable around small children, so we think she would do best in a home with older kids or adults.3Quincy is a 3.5-year-old American Bulldog mix.  He is an agile and athletic pup who loves nothing more than to run outside and play with his human companions.  Once he runs his energy out, he lets you pet and cuddle him all day!  Quincy is choosy of his canine companions, so we think he would do best as the center of your attention, or he and his new canine friend would require a meet and greet.1

Barbie is a 2.5-year-old smooth coat Jack Russell Terrier mix, rescued by HSNEGA from a regional animal control facility.  She is great with kids, but can be selective about her canine companions. If this fun-loving girl tugs at your heart, come give Barbie her very own dream home!

If you are interested in meeting one of these amazing animals, please call our Adoption Center at 770-532-6617 on Mon-Sat 10 am-5 pm and Sun 1-5 pm.  For more information on how you can become a life-saving Adoption Angel, please visit
