October is here and that means cooler weather, leaves are turning colors, Halloween, and Adopt-A-Dog Month is here! HSNEGA could list a bunch of reasons of why you should adopt a dog, like they are (wo)man’s best friend, but we thought the best way to tell you why you should adopt a dog is if our PAWESOME canines told you why themselves.
Pippa, a 1-year-old Coonhound mix, says “I’ll give you so many kisses!” Pippa has a lot of energy and is every bit a Hound. She is looking for her furever home because she has a lot of love… and licks!…to give.
April, a 9-month-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix, says “I’m the perfect travel size and I’m a great co-pilot!” April is very shy at first, but once she opens up she has a great personality. She still has puppy energy so playtime will be a “must” for this adorable girl.
Mona, a 2-year-old Chow Chow mix, says “I like other dogs!” Mona is reserved at first, but once she gets to know you, it’s all about her… and her getting in your lap for attention! She is a lovely girl who will be a great companion.
Victor, a 5-year-old Shepherd mix, says “I’m handsome!” Victor is a handsome big boy and walks politely on a leash. He has a preference on his canine companions and would prefer someone close to his size, but he likes children!
James, a 3-year-old Bulldog mix, says “I’m unique looking!” James has a big head, an even bigger heart, and he *loves* the pool! And belly rubs. And belly rubs in the pool. This guy is a lovable lug that will totally steal your heart.
Barry, a 2-year-old Terrier mix, says “I’m entertaining!” Barry is very playful and loves toys! Barry likes other dogs and would be great for any family willing to give him love. A canine sibling of same size and personality also would be a “plus” for Barry.
Be sure to share this blog post and help these lovely animals find their furever home! If any of these fur babies sound like your perfect match, the come have a meet-and-greet with any of these PAWESOME canines at our Adoption Center Mon-Sat 10-5 and Sun 1-5. And, through October, the HSNEGA Adoption Center will be open until 7 pm on Thursday evenings!
